These terms and conditions (the "Terms and Conditions") govern the use of Carolinescurtains.co.uk (the "Site"). This Site is owned and operated by Caroline Bean.
By using this Site, you indicate that you have read and understand these Terms and Conditions and agree to abide by them at all times.
Intellectual Property
All content published and made available on our Site is the property of Caroline
Bean and the Site's creators. This includes, but is not limited to images, text, logos, documents, downloadable files and anything that contributes to the composition of our Site.
Accounts
When you create an account on our Site, you agree to the following:
You are solely responsible for your account and the security and privacy of your account, including passwords or sensitive information attached to that account and all personal information you provide to us through your account is up to date, accurate, and truthful and that you will update your personal information if it changes.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you are using our Site illegally or if you violate these Terms and Conditions.
Caroline Bean will not be liable for any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses including legal fees from your use of the Site.
Indemnity.
Except where prohibited by law, by using this Site you indemnify and hold harmless Caroline Bean from any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses including legal fees arising out of your use of our Site or your violation of these Terms and Conditions.
Applicable Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Country of England.
Severability
If at any time any of the provisions set forth in these Terms and Conditions are found to be inconsistent or invalid under applicable laws, those provisions will be deemed void and will be removed from these Terms and Conditions. All other provisions will not be affected by the removal and the rest of these Terms and Conditions will still be considered valid.
Changes
These Terms and Conditions may be amended from time to time in order to maintain compliance with the law and to reflect any changes to the way we operate our Site. The date of these changes will be noted at the top of this page.
Consultation
A home consultation is available to book, during which I provide advice and take accurate measurements needed to provide you’re made to measure products. Please be aware that I can’t be held responsible for the accuracy of measurements supplied by you, however I am happy to accept your measurements in writing. Any alterations that I have to make to any products, due to you the customer providing inaccurate measurements is likely to incur additional costs. Follow up home consultations for remedial works are subject to a consultation charge.
Prices
Prices are subject to change without prior notice.
Quotes
A written quote will be provided, which will detail all costs. Quotes are valid for 28 days.
Customer supplied fabrics
Please ask for advice if you are unsure about anything. I am happy for customers to send fabrics directly to me. Fabric will be unrolled and inspected before any cuts are made to ensure the fabric is fit for purpose. Sourced linings, interlinings and blackout linings, used are of very high quality. All goods remain the property of Caroline’s Curtains until payment has been made in full.
Shrinkage
I can’t guarantee that there won’t be any shrinkage in the fabric. Fabrics considered to be shrink resistant may still shrink up to between 2%-5%. Variations in atmospheric conditions, humidity and temperature can cause relaxation or shrinkage of a fabric. For instance hanging directly above a radiator, can cause loss of moisture and consequently shrinkage.
Blackout Lining
When blackout lining is used for curtains and blinds, please be aware that there may be an element of light that will make its way past the curtain tracks, pole or blind headrails. Also roman blind stabs stitches create tiny holes across the width of the blind, which can let light through, this can’t be avoided but I will make these as discreet as possible. All roman blinds are supplied with child safety devices by law. If the customer removes the child safety fittings, Caroline’s Curtains will not be held responsible for any loss or damage.
Lead Times
At the time of providing our estimate, I will provide you with an estimated time frame for works to be completed. However, please be aware this can vary occasionally. Once payment for your order is confirmed, you will receive an email confirmation, containing details of ordered items and confirming lead times. If there is an issue with your order please contact me as soon as possible. Once your order is ready, I will contact you to arrange fitting or delivery.
Fitting service
If you require your items to be fitted by Caroline’s Curtains, the surfaces must be of suitable condition to ensure fixings are secure. I can’t be held responsible for poor fixing surfaces and therefore won’t be able to fit items as requested.
Payment
If you wish to proceed with an order, work will not start until payment is cleared. Payment can be made either by cash, cheque, PayPal or by bank transfer. Please allow 7 working days for cheques to clear.

Termination
You have the right to cancel your order at any time. If work hasn’t started on you order then a full refund will be given. If work has started then time already spent will be charged and the remainder will be refunded. Please contact me to arrange the return of your fabric.
Guarantees
Your purchased goods will be guaranteed for 12 months for workmanship faults.
The guarantee covers from the date of delivery, the products will correspond with their specification, be free from material defects in design, material and workmanship.
In the unlikely event that you are not happy with your final product, please contact Caroline’s Curtains within 7 days. Refunds will only be given if the product does not match the requirements agreed or is faulty, the product will need to be returned for inspection for the next step to be determined.
Caroline’s Curtains shall have no liability in respect of any defect arising from, fair wear and tear, wilful damage, negligence in using or caring for the goods, failure to follow the manufactures recommendations, misuse or third party alteration or repairs to the goods.
Complaints
Complaints will be dealt with as quickly as possible, but within 7 days during office hours 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.
